GMB, the union for Remploy workers, will hold a news conference outside the Norwich Remploy factory tomorrow (details to be confirmed) condemning the news that a bid by James Levy for the Norwich Remploy factor that would keep the business open and retain 36 local jobs has been overlooked.

Local Labour candidates Clive Lewis, Norwich South and Jess Asato, Norwich North will also attend.

Glen Holdom, GMB Organiser who represents GMB members at the Remploy factory said,

“Upon reading it (EDN article) I am sure that like me and after all our campaigning, many people will find it a disgrace that this bid appears to have been turned down.

I hope to contact Mr Levy and get him along to tomorrow's demonstration at the Remploy Norwich factory so that he can explain what he thiks went wrong with the bidding process.”
