Whizz-Kidz statement on Transport Committee report which admits 'access still unacceptably poor' Whizz-Kidz 1 min read17 September 2013 Partner content Commenting on the publication of the Transport Select Committee’s report today Access To Transport for Disabled People, Ruth Owen, Whizz-Kidz’s Chief Executive said: ‘Whizz-Kidz’s young ambassadors gave strong evidence to the Transport Select Committee earlier this year, calling for transport providers to treat them like any other passenger and for their views to be considered in assessing transport services. ‘We’re therefore delighted that young disabled people’s voices have been heard – and reflected. Disabled people deserve the same access to travel as anyone else but this report highlights just how much work still needs to be done to improve services for all. Whizz-Kidz and its young Ambassadors look forward to further supporting all of the measures to achieve our joint aim of a fully accessible transport network – on road, rail, sea and air.’ Related The Other Insurgent Party: Should The Greens Turn Left With Eco-Populism?
