Theresa May has been gifted a discount card from high-end shoe shop Russell & Bromley where a pair of boots can sell for £600, official records show.

The card is valid for a year from January 2017 to January 2018 and was registered with parliamentary authorities on 31 July, according to the MPs register of interests.

Women’s shoes on the retailer’s website sell for between £115 for a ‘block heel T-bar’ sandal to £595 for a knee-high ‘stretch’ boot.

Elsewhere Commons Speaker John Bercow enjoyed two tickets for the Royal Box at Wimbledon - estimated to be worth £8,590.

Labour deputy leader Tom Watson was also given Wimbledon tickets, while Tory MPs Damian Collins and Nigel Adams declared freebie tickets to Glastonbury festival.

Defence Secretary Sir Michael Fallon registered two tickets for the England v South Africa test match at Lords and Labour Shadow Transport Minister Richard Burden enjoyed two tickets to the Grand Prix at Silverstone.

Other MPs who declared free tickets for sports events were Tories Mims Davies, Philip Davies and Labour MP Stephen Doughty.

Meanwhile Tory backbencher Nadine Dorries landed a £50,000 signing fee for a new book deal.
