Theresa May 'outraged' by latest North Korea missile test

1 min read

Theresa May is "outraged" by North Korea's latest ballistic missile test, Downing Street has said.

The communist regime fired the missile 3,700 kilometres over Japan, landing in the sea off Hokkaido.

It came barely a fortnight after North Korea was condemned around the world for firing another missile across the country.

A Number 10 spokesman said: "The UK wholly condemns the aggressive and illegal actions of the North Korean regime and the succession of nuclear and missile tests. We stand firmly by Japan and our other international partners. We're working to mobilise world opinion with the aim of achieving a diplomatic solution to the situation on the North Korean peninsula."

The spokesman said the Government's "key focus" was in pressing China to keep up the pressure on North Korea to change course.

He added: "The PM is outraged by North Korea's continued reckless provocation and she strongly condemns the regime's illegal tests."
