Along with theEuropean Climate Foundation, Knauf Insulation and Willmott Dixon, the Mineral Wool Insulation Manufacturers Association (MIMA) is supporting adragons den style event with Policy Exchange on Friday 6th November at which a number of expertswill pitch their policy ideas onhow to incentivise households to adopt energy efficiency measures,to be critiqued by a panel of policy dragons.

Sarah Kostense-Winterton, Executive Director at MIMA commented “With today’s announcement of substantial spending on UK infrastructure, consideration of how to best retrofit the infrastructure that we live in – our homes – could not come at a more appropriate time.”

“We have an exciting line up of ‘dragons' with both a prominent member of the Energy and Climate Change Committee, Dr Dan Poulter MP and the Shadow Minister for Energy and Climate Change, Dr Alan Whitehead MP. It is going to be a positive, proactive and entertaining debate which will clearly set out the policy winners."

"Government has clearly signalled their willingness to work with industry as they develop new policy in this area.  This event can help bring the strongest policy ideas to the forefront to help the Government to build a long term, stable energy efficiency policy that delivers for UK’s consumers. We hope the Secretary of State, Amber Rudd and her team along with the Chancellor are still listening.”
