Blow for Jeremy Corbyn as new opinion poll gives Tories 14-point lead

The Conservatives have stretched their lead over Labour, according to a new opinion poll.
The Survation study for Good Morning Britain shows the Tories are 14 points ahead of their main rivals - a leap of eight points since their last test of public opinion.
It puts the Conservatives on 42%, with Labour on 28%, the Lib Dems on 13%, the Brexit Party on 5% and the Greens on 3%.
However, the pollster - who correctly forecast a hung Parliament in 2017 - pointed out that at the same stage of that campaign, the Tories were 17 points ahead.
That suggests that Labour could still dramatically narrow the gap in the three-and-a-half weeks left until polling day on 12 December.
Elsewhere in the poll, Boris Johnson has a clear lead over Jeremy Corbyn on who the public believe would make the best Prime Minister - 47% to 17%.
In a further boost for the PM, Brexit is seen as the most important issue in the election among voters, although the NHS takes top slot with Labour supporters.
Mr Johnson has said that only a Tory majority will ensure that the UK will be out of the EU by the end of January. Labour, which is promising another referendum next summer, wants to shift the debate onto other domestic areas.
Overall, Brexit was the key topic for 34% of the 1,010 people polled, with the the NHS on 14% and the economy on 4%.
Asked who has had the best election campaign so far, 26% said the Conservatives, 14% went for Labour, 10% said Lib Dem, and only 1% said the Brexit Party or SNP.
The Survation poll comes a day after four other surveys all gave the Tories a commanding lead over Labour.
